Jean Gonnord made his entire career at the French Commissariat à l’Energie Atomique (CEA),
first in the Reactor Direction as a specialist of Monte-Carlo Methods, then at the Weapon Direction (CEA/DAM) where he is since 1996 the responsible of the Numerical Simulation Program.
He has been conducting the TERA project leading in 2010 to the TERA100 computer of BULL first petaflop/s computer ever design and built in Europe.
He is a member of the Committee for High Power Computing ( French HPC industrial plan)
