Marteyn van Gasteren is a research and innovation manager, affiliated at the CENIEH Centro Nacional de Investigación sobre la Evolución Humana (National Research Centre on Human Evolution) where he works as a Coordinator of International Research & Innovation Projects and Diversification. He drives international participation and exploitation of the Research Infrastructure on Human Evolution, with a special focus on 3D Digital Cultural Heritage, and additionally on the interpolation of palaeoscience to today’s society, and analytical services.

Since 2008 he has been acting as a proposal evaluator and project reviewer for the European Commission.
