European Research Infrastructures, including e-infrastructures, are instrumental in achieving the goals of the Europe 2020 strategy for smart, sustainable and inclusive growth. The European Commission supports the structuring of the Research Infrastructure landscape in Europe and the optimisation of its use by researchers all over Europe and beyond. The European Commission facilitates the development of world-class research infrastructure and continuously reinforces the international cooperation in this field in order to better address the global societal challenges. Research Infrastructures provide research opportunities and services to all priorities defined in the European research and innovation programme Horizon 2020. The indicative budget of the European Research Infrastructures, including e-infrastructures part of the Horizon 2020 programme amounts to 2.5 billion euro.
The following projects are hosted in the EU Booth and will present their activities: RDA Europe, INSTRUCT, iMarine, Helix Nebula, EUDAT, SPIRIT, EGI.
