SKA Telescope
SKA Telescope - Square Kilometer Array

The Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project is an international effort to build the world’s largest radio telescope, under the leadership of the SKA Organisation. The SKA will consist of hundreds of thousands of telescopes connected together and spread across Africa and Australia. Already, powerful prototypes – science machines in their own right – are being built in South Africa and Western Australia. At our stand you will find information material and multimedia content to explain the project in further detail. We will also offer a unique opportunity to connect with the teams working on the SKA prototype telescopes at the SKA sites in Western Australia and South Africa via a live video link, to allow delegates to see and learn about the progress on the sites first-hand. These live sessions will take place during morning coffee break and lunch time in the presence of the SKA Organisation Director General, Professor Philip Diamond.
